The Czech Republic has a temperate\u00a0continental climate<\/a>, with warm summers and cold, cloudy and snowy winter. Average temperatures in January range from -1 to -3 \u00b0 C, and in July 18-19\u00b0C. The average annual rainfall is 500-700 mm. In mountainous areas, there is a harsh climate with an average annual temperature of about 4 \u00b0 C and rainfall of the order of 1200 mm.<\/p>\n

Sn\u011b\u017eka<\/a>\u00a0(1,603\u00a0m) is the highest summit, the average temperature is only \u22120.4\u00a0\u00b0C, while in the low-lying of the\u00a0South Moravian Region<\/a>, the average temperature is as high as 10\u00a0\u00b0C. The country’s capital –\u00a0Prague<\/a>, has a similar average temperature, though this is due to urban area surroundings. \u00a0The coldest months are usually December, January, February. In March and April and May the temperature is starting to increase rapidly.<\/p>\n
