Chich\u00e9n Itz\u00e1 in Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico<\/h2>\n

The temple was built by the Mayas between 9th and 12th centuries in honor of god Kukulkan. With its 30 meters height,it is the greatest sight of Mayan cultures.

Colosseum, Rome in Italy<\/h2>\n

Built in A.D.70 and A.D.80, the colosseum used for more than 500 years. It is the largest amphitheater ever built and it was made from concrete and sand. Back in time, it was the place to watch gladiatorial events as well as other public spectacles including animal hunts or executions. Although, damage was caused by earthquakes and stone-robbers, it is the sign of the Imperial Rome.

Christ the Redeemer, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil<\/h2>\n

The 30 meters Art Deco statue of Jesus Christ is approximately two-thirds higher than the Statue of Liberty in New York City. The concrete and glass monument is located on the 700 meters Corcovado mountain in Tijuca Forest National. Created between 1922 and 1931, it has become the symbol of Christianity across the world.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>

Petra, Jordan<\/h2>\n

Petra is a historical and archaeological city in Southern Jordan. It is also called Rose City due to the color of the stone. The picture displays the famous rock-cut architecture. It is unbelievable that this attraction was established in 312 BC! The nomadic Arabs, so called Nabateans, had a great ability to construct efficient water collecting methods in the desserts. These talents lead them to carving structures into solid rocks.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>

Great Wall of China, China<\/h2>\n

Can you believe that some parts of this wall were built in the 7th century BC? You can find the wall along the east-to-west line across the historical northern borders of China. Did you know that the entire wall has a measure of 21,196 km?
\nIn case you are wondering why the wall was build, it was intended for border controls, allowance of imposing duties on goods transported, regulation or encouragement of trade and the control of immigration and emigration.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>

Taj Mahal, Agra in India<\/h2>\n

The name is Persian and means Crown of Palaces. It is an ivory- white marble mausoleum in the South of the Yamuna river. The UNESCO World Heritage called it the jewel of Muslim art and one of the most universally admired masterpieces of the world\u2019s heritage.
\nWho built the Taj Mahal and why? The Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan wanted to build a gravesite for his favorite wife. After 11 years of building, the mausoleum was completed in 1643. It is a 42- acre complex with a value of US $ 827 million.

Machu Picchu, Peru<\/h2>\n

This site was so hidden that most people did not know about it until an American Student discovered it in 1911. Why? It was built on a mountain, 2430 meters above sea level. In the 15th- century, the Incas cut the rock to build houses, fields and temples and an observatory.
