Working as a member of the infrastructure engineering team at our partner telecom headquarters, you ensure the definition, configuration, availability, performance, and security of the network infrastructures. You also participate in their development as part of new projects: operator connection, customer interconnection, hosting of new core or value-added services (VAS).

 

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

Administration of Cies’s international IP backbone and POPs (hosting, transit, peering, operator interconnections),
Ensuring the availability and performance of these services,
Taking part in the engineering, implementation and administration of the core telecom platforms and services (Packet Core, Voice Core, Signaling, VAS),
Carrying out and maintaining technical and functional monitoring,
Carrying out operational projects (migration, upgrade, interconnection),
Participating in product launches, maintenance operations, and being on call
Anticipating the infrastructure developments of the telecom platform (capacity planning, technology watch).

Technical skills:

Advanced knowledge of IP Service Provider networks
Advanced routing: BGP, OSPF, VRF, MPLS, etc.
Cisco administration: from 2950 to ASR9k and Arista
IPSEC VPN
LIR administration
Very good knowledge of Linux network functionality: Firewalling iptables / PF, BIND, PowerDNS, HAPROXY, SQUID, etc.
Good knowledge de Nagios, Centreon, Cacti or Graphite
Knowledge of:
Datacenter environments
Linux and open source environments: Debian, CentOS, OpenBSD
Virtualization environments: XenServer, VM Ware, KVM
Development tools: Shell, Perl, PHP
Databases: MySQL, MongoDB, Couchbase
Familiarity with mobile operator DATA architectures / NFV / SDN would be an advantage.

As a full member of the Business Development team, your role will be to contact, train and develop each relevant Group affiliate in full autonomy. Your duty will be to take Cie’s business development to the next level. Your responsibility will be to fully understand every entity, measure their cross-sell capabilities and develop a full channel strategy for the coming years

Profile required

You are last year master degree and you have at least 1 experience in the network domain. You work, or have experience of working, for a service provider (operator, web site, host, etc.) You are at ease with open-source technology. You understand the constraints of hosting a high-availability network. You are interested in mobile data network engineering.

You are practical and attentive to the needs and requirements of your environment. You get on well with others, enjoy working as part of a team, and have the ability to communicate with experts in other domains. You have a sense of curiosity and show initiative. You also enjoy learning and have a capacity for self-teaching.

You are willing to be on call.

You are fluent in English.
