It is unbelievable that this attraction was established in 312 BC! The nomadic Arabs, so called Nabateans, had a great ability to construct efficient water collecting methods in the desserts. These talents lead them to carving structures into solid rocks.
Built in A.D.70 and A.D. 80, the colosseum used for more than 500 years. It is the largest amphitheater ever built and it was made from concrete and sand. Back in time, it was the place to watch gladiatorial events as well as other public spectacles including animal hunts or executions. Although, damage was caused by earthquakes and stone-robbers, it is the sign of the Imperial Rome.
